jewsday nights

Jewsday Nights will be off and running Tuesday, October 6th from 6:45-8:15pm. 

This year, Jewsday Nights (as with everything) will look different. We are super excited to offer a rich and diverse program focusing on Jewish Values, Social Justice, and building intergenerational connections with older member of the Temple Sinai community.

We are fortunate to be able to partner with the RAC (the Religious Action Center of Reform Judaism) to do social justice learning. Because they are based in Washington, DC, our program times on these weeks will be from 4:00-5:30pm on the weeks indicated below and on the calendar. All other weeks, programming will run from 6:45-8:15pm.

Each week will begin at 6:45pm with dinner (bring it with you) and a mifgash (check in/current-events discussion). 
From 7:00-8:00pm we'll focus on the program for the evening. 
From 8:00-8:15pm we'll wrap up with games and siyuum.

The weeks are divided as follows:

Social Justice Academy: 10/13, 10/20, 12/1, 12/8, 2/23, 3/2, 3/9
Meaningful, fun, and actionable Jewish Social Justice education. We will focus on Civic Engagement leading up to the election. In December, we'll gain a basic understanding of diversity, equity, and inclusion practices, and in late February, we'll turn to advocacy and action.

Better Together: 10/27, 11/17, 12/15, 1/19, 2/9, 3/16, 4/20, 5/11
Develop meaningful relationships with older member of the Temple Sinai community through both synchronous and asynchronous interactive experiences. We'll meet with our senior friends monthly and enjoy some activities and learning together. 

Value Sparks: 11/10, 1/5, 1/12, 1/26, 2/2, 3/23, 3/30, 4/27, 5/4
Focusing on relevant values and ideas, we'll explore Jewish texts and ideas to ignite learning and fun using multiple modalities.

You should be receiving a weekly email every Friday at 10am with new and pertinent teen information. If you are NOT receiving it, please let us know and we’ll be sure to add you to the list. We are also happy to add your email checking teen if you like!
